Publication “丗｜SEI / Tokuda House—Kyoto, Joy of Life” 

SEI / Tokuda House is the crystallization of 100-year-old townhouse in Kyoto and handwork. 
Architect Ryue Nishizawa the house with artisans curated by Kayo Tokuda, while facing with 
the traditions of machiya. A house, a treasure, that Tokuda longs for. The book contains newly written 
essays and photographs and drawings of processes and details. It introduces SEI-kitchen, an activity 
to comprehensively think about environment, food, and art, Graveyard Concept, an unpublished work 
by Nishizawa, and TOMORROW FIELD, a future project where artists of various genres collaborate.
